The use of timber is an important environmental issue. At Hardwood Flooring Imports Ltd we are conscious of the need for sustainable forestation, which is why we strive to buy our flooring from manufacturers who have a commitment to the sustainable management of forests.
Why Natural Is Best
Choosing a wood floor from a sustainable source increases demand, which in turn increases the commercial value of sustainable forestry. This results in increased forestation. A decrease in demand for sustainable wood can mean that forests are destroyed to turn land over to more profitable crops or livestock.
Hardwoods can usually be re-grown in the space of a human lifetime. Hardwood products also use substantially less energy in their manufacture than synthetic alternatives.
